Everyone walks around with a big sign that says, “I need love. Make me feel important.”

Yes, even that guy on the highway who waves at you with one finger yelping oddities in what must be French.
What he is really saying is, “You made me feel unimportant” and “I need love.”

Perhaps no human need is more neglected in the workplace than feeling valued.
Feeling important is as important as food.

The need begins at birth and never goes away.
The need for significance in our work is a manifestation of our inborn hunger for meaning in our lives.

As a leader your job is to help people find meaning, feel significant and understand their value.

Action for today:
Try it today.
Make love all day today.
Every room you enter, conversation you engage in and interaction you have - start making love.

Catch people doing something right.
Tell them they look good or did something well, and you appreciate them.
Tell them today, “Hey, I am proud of you. You are important to me. You are doing an amazing job.”

Be an epic lover today!
It'll be good practice for Valentine's Day tomorrow ;)

And for extra love points, call someone who is very important to you and tell them why they mean so much to you. You'll be surprised at the happiness it brings to you as well. Check this out as an example ;)
