Our accidental frog pond...and its benefits...I dont like to have standing water due to it being a breeding ground for mosquitoes, and we already have way to many of those with a brook on both sides of us and a pond across the road, last year lil helper and I enjoyed watching a frog live in this all summer. This spring we found frog eggs. Our tadpoles are doing great and we have discovered a frog living in there again. The mosquitoes of course go around the water, which in turn is providing food for our frog. I have noticed this seems to be working to our benefit as they are hanging around the water rather than on lil helper and I. This is also a fun learning experience for lil helper as she has been watching since we noticed the eggs. Being there are no fish to eat the tadpoles they all have the chance to become frogs. We are having fun with the little part we are playing in assisting nature's process, and hoping we will have baby frogs that choose to call our little pond home😀

Nature can be so beautiful. Humming birds are so quick Its not often we get to see them in action. We got to see this one grooming itself😀

I Didnt think to take a before picture....but this lilac tree....half of the branches were dead. It was quite the battle...

I Didnt think to take a before picture....but this lilac tree....half of the branches were dead. It was quite the battle...but armed with a rusty dull pair of clippers and an old rusty hacksaw I found..I feel like I won the battle🤣🤣🤣 there is alot of new growth on the lower part of the tree. When my son has 5 minutes of breathing time from work he is going to bring saw and help me trim it down, round it off a bit, and I will let all the new growth do its thing😀
