Say hi to Charlie. He is such a docile sweet little black tongued calf. The other day he hesitatingly ate his first treat. He loves them now. He is 4 1/2 months old.
December and January have been an adventurous couple months. So much snow, rain, and freezing temps. The livestock don't seem to mind at all. They all have shelter, but they all seem to prefer the rain and snow. They look like walking soggy snowmen.
At times their lots looked so pristine. The ground was covered in snow. Then the snow would melt some and p**p piles magically appeared. Have you ever tried to pick up p**p froze to the ground? Don't try it. It will break or bend the tines of the fork.
I can't wait for the ground to dry out.

I went out to the barn this morning to take a picture of Charlie outside in the beautifully falling snow, and he was the only bovine that chose to be in the stall. Everyone else was outside among the huge falling flakes. He kept mooing as I stood outside calling him. I finally had to come inside for his photo. Then all the others stood right outside the door mooing. Quite the funny ten minutes.

Look at this beautiful little micro mini. Joey is soon to be 4 months old, and he is a little taller than my knee. His hair is getting longer and fuller which makes him look like a walking puff ball.

Here is 3 month old micro mini Joey checking out 2 month old Cinder the kitten. Cinder was trying his best to drink water out of the half empty tank. Whenever Cinder runs through his space, Joey stops whatever he is doing to try to figure out what this little speed ball is.
How appropriate: Today is National Cat Day.

Isn't Charlie just the cutest? Today he was trying to figure out why I was standing there and not interacting with him. He was waiting to be brushed. He is such a lovable character. Charlie will make a great addition to your family.
His little horn buds are starting to peek out through his hair. Both his mom and dad have horns. He is going to grow into a real beauty.

Cinder, my little adopted kitten, is having a grand time with the cat toy Scotland brought over. My barn office is one of his favorite places to play hide and seek. He sure gives us the opportunity to laugh.
