Today our first calving season is officially complete. 11 healthy babies!! All first time heifers. I am truly amazed how Mother Nature just sets in. We have had a few bumps in the road, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. So many new things learned.
Betty Lou gave birth to a healthy baby girl this morning. Mama needs a little assistance in figuring it all out, but we are determined to help her along. Proud to say our premie bottle baby is doing fantastic! She even hangs with the rest of the herd during the day now.
The hardest part will be when it’s time for the babies to find their new homes this winter. But for now, I’ll enjoy every second of these love bugs.
