“When they say ‘for better or for worse, in sickness and in health,’ you better be ready to truly honor those vows… because you never know when sickness will show up at your front door.
This year has tested us in ways I never imagined. Between my own surgeries and health battles and my husband’s ongoing medical journey, life has been life-ing. Some days have been filled with fear. Some days have been filled with tears. Some days we’ve wondered how we’re going to make it through.
Today, I’m grateful to share that my husband’s second surgery of the year was a success. We still have a few more surgeries and a long road ahead, but we’re taking it one day at a time.
Through it all, we’ve learned that love isn’t just about the good days. It’s about showing up when you’re exhausted. It’s about holding each other up when neither one of you feels strong enough to stand. It’s about praying together when you don’t have all the answers. It’s about choosing each other over and over again, even when life feels unfair.
We are fighting. Not against each other, but for each other. Standing side by side. Leaning on our faith. Trusting God through every doctor’s appointment, every procedure, every setback, and every victory.
Financially, things have been hard. Emotionally, things have been hard. Physically, things have been hard. But by the grace of God, we’re still here.
To every single person who has ordered a meal, booked a service, shared a post, referred a client, sent a prayer, checked on us, or simply supported our family in any way—thank you. You may never fully understand how much it means to us. Every order, every share, every kind word helps us keep going and helps us continue to keep our heads above water during one of the toughest seasons of our lives.
Please continue to keep our family lifted in prayer. And if you’ve ever thought about supporting our small business, now is one of those times where it truly makes a difference.
God isn’t finished with our story yet. ❤️🙏🏾
