We haven’t seen turkeys on our property since shortly after moving here eight years ago.

Until now!

For the past couple of weeks, there has been a flock of turkeys hanging out on our property. We’ve seen them at least half a dozen times now, and it is so much fun to watch them. 😁

Even though Billy leads the charge when it comes to the farm stuff, I do as much of the work as I possibly can. And I’m pretty capable of getting stuff done around here.

Losses on the farm are always tough. Today’s is no exception.

This morning, we discovered our pig, Caramel, had passed away.

Unfortunately, we don’t know why she passed, so we will be getting our other two pigs checked out to make sure they are okay.

Caramel came to the farm as a little one seven years ago. She was always the biggest of the bunch and could be a real butthead to the other pigs. But she loved pets from Farmer Bill and anyone else willing to give them. And she loved being fed fresh fruits and veggies.

We will miss our big Caramel, but she will rest forever here at Crazy Acres. ❤️
