It’s the end of the season, but our Easter Egger project is really starting to come together!

We’ve been breeding toward a more vibrant variety of egg colors, and the girls are definitely starting to deliver. Pinks, blues, greens, olives, and everything in between.

There’s just something so satisfying about seeing all that work finally translate into consistent color.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Apparently, to hide her eggs in the most inconvenient location physically possible.

Free-range chickens: because simply walking into the coop and collecting eggs was getting a little too easy.

Every hatch is special at J&J Coop.

Even though our incubator stays full and we welcome new chicks every 5–7 days, we’re still in awe every single time they hatch.

Behind every chick is time, dedication, and so much care. Every tiny chick is a reminder of why we do this.

It’s more than a process—it’s passion, joy, and love.

This incubator is full, full, FULL!

It has not stopped running since we the start of the season!

We have 30+ chicks hatching every 5-7 days. (Kinda crazy, we know!)

We haven't always gotten it right.

Like anyone who starts something they're passionate about, we've learned a lot of lessons along the way—some exciting, some difficult, but all of them helping us grow.

Every chick starts as a leap of faith, and we pour our hearts into giving them the best possible start. Watching those tiny chicks grow into healthy, thriving birds is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Whether they're growing up in our own brooders or thriving in flocks across the country, the photos and updates from our customers never get old.

Seeing them flourish in their new homes reminds us why all the early mornings, late nights, and hard work are worth it.
