Y’all completely sold us out the last time we made our Honeysuckle Jelly! 💛

We haven’t been able to make another batch in a while because our honeysuckle just hasn’t had enough blooms. But recently I cut back a good bit of the plant, and lo and behold… we have a whole bunch of new blooms! 🌿🌼

Thankfully, there are enough for me to make one more batch of Honeysuckle Jelly this year! I’m infusing the blossoms today, and tomorrow it’ll be time to turn that beautiful floral infusion into jelly for the shop. 🍯

This will probably be our last batch of the year, although we’ll see if the honeysuckle surprises me with any more blooms. 😉

If you love our Honeysuckle Jelly, make sure you get your hands on a jar soon! We’re hoping to have it in the shop this weekend, along with lots of other new goodies we’re getting ready for fall. 🍂

Y’all, we are SO excited about something new we’ll be offering at Fair Winds Farmstead store space inside of The Sassy Sisters ! 🍎🍂

We have a wonderful lady we buy these from who makes them completely from scratch, and our first batch of end of summer simmering potpourri will be hitting the shop this week! I currently have the Apple Pie one simmering on my stove, and y’all… it has scented my ENTIRE house. It smells exactly like when I’m making apple butter, which might just be the best smell in the whole world. 😂❤️ Apple cinnamon is absolutely top tier for me, especially when it comes to those cozy seasonal scents!

These first three scents are absolutely amazing, and we’ll have them in the shop this week. Then we’ll be bringing in our fall scents early next month, followed by winter scents in the coming months. We’re planning to offer these seasonally so there’s always something new and cozy to simmer!

They’re handmade for us using all natural ingredients, and you can even add things like vanilla if you’d like to customize your simmer. They’re such a simple, natural way to make your whole house smell absolutely incredible. I seriously cannot get enough of these! 🍎🍁✨

🍂 Fall is officially happening at Fair Winds Farmstead… at least in my mind! 😂 It might still be 90° outside, but my body and brain are already living in a crisp 65° fall day. Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be busy getting all of our fall inventory made and ready to go!

Yesterday I started working on some much needed cold process goat milk soap restocks of some of our favorites: The Shire, Winter Woods, Barnwood, Dragon's Blood, Luna, and our brand new Vanilla Apple Cinnamon Harvest! 🍎🍂 The new Vanilla Apple Cinnamon Harvest smells absolutely AMAZING, but Winter Woods is still hands down my favorite ever, with Northbound a very close second. There’s just something about that mossy pine and deep woodsy scent that I absolutely love. I know it’s a more masculine scent, but I could literally inhale that one all day.

These will be heading onto the cure rack after I cut them and should be ready in about 3 to 4 weeks!

And this is just the beginning! I have a bunch of new fall scents arriving later this week that I’ll be working on next, along with restocks of our Rose Water Toner Spray since we’re almost sold out at the store. I’ll also be making body spray refills, including some new fall scents, and getting some really fun magical and whimsical fall themed children’s soaps ready for the The Sassy Sisters Car Show at the end of the month. 🧙‍♀️🍄🎃✨

So get ready, because there is going to be A LOT of soap and fall goodness coming out of Fair Winds Farmstead over the next month or two! 🍁🤎 Fall is hands down my favorite season, so I am absolutely loving every minute of it, even if I have to sweat through it first!

✨ We've been busy at Fair Winds Farmstead! ✨

We added a whole bunch of new inventory yesterday to our store space inside of The Sassy Sisters , and we think you're going to love it!

Our new all purpose cleaner refill bags are now in stock. They're perfect for refilling our 16 oz spray bottles, or you can use them with your own spray bottles at home. They're available in our favorite naturally scented blends that leave your home smelling fresh without harsh chemicals.

We also brought in some beautiful new home decor, and our first batch of homemade apple butter of the season has officially hit the shelves!

Whether you're stopping by for homemade canned goods, old fashioned candy and sodas, farm fresh eggs, cold process soaps, fun natural soaps for kids, bath and body products, or all natural cleaning essentials, there's a little something for everyone.

We'll be especially busy this month getting ready for the August 30th Sassy Sister's Car Show, so keep an eye out for lots of new products arriving throughout the month. We'll also be unveiling our new fall collection of seasonal goodies and decor just in time for the event. We can't wait to share everything we've been working on!

Our herb drying room is smelling absolutely amazing right now!

Last week we harvested five beautiful varieties of basil from our garden, and they're currently drying to become this season's fresh handcrafted seasonings. Soon we'll have Sweet Basil, Thai Basil, Dark Opal Basil, Genovese Basil, and Lemon Basil available.

Our Genovese and Lemon basil will be made into our basil seasoning salts, while our Sweet, Thai, and Dark Opal basil will be offered as individual dried basil seasonings.

Basil is one of our absolute favorite herbs to cook with, and we know so many of you love it just as much as we do. We're so excited to finally bring this year's harvest to the shop! With any luck, we'll be able to keep harvesting right up until our first frost and keep these stocked for you as long as the season allows.

Still canning like crazy over here, with another batch of Mauw Mauw's Sweet Pickles finished, and finally a restock of all of our pepper jellies this weekend, now that our peppers are really starting to come in.

But what I really want to share is one of my absolute favorite things about our garden. We have a ton of newly hatched butterflies (I plant extra dill plants just for my caterpillar buddies) and they are everywhere in the garden. I swear I could sit outside all day and just watch these beauties. I know once I finally get an official large greenhouse, I definitely will have a more established butterfly garden/pollinator section with a little seating area just for us to sit, relax and enjoy these lovelies.

Processing our meat chickens this morning. Unfortunately, it's not the ideal weather. But they're super ready and y'all know how homesteading goes, gotta do what you gotta do (even with a toddler in tow lol). Wish us luck that we finish before the storms start later this afternoon!

Well hey, y'all! 🤠 We got a few new goodies added to our section at The Sassy Sisters this week!

The one I'm most excited about is our brandnnew Artisan Farmhouse Dill Pickles. Y'all... I'm not even gonna pretend to play favorites, because these just might be my favorite pickle we've made yet! They're packed with deli shop flavor, and I have a feeling they're gonna earn themselves a permanent spot in our pickle lineup. 🥒❤️

I'm hoping to have some samples ready over the next week or two, so if you've been wanting to try 'em before you buy 'em, you'll get your chance!

We also added some fun limited edition summer toy treasure soaps for the kiddos, plus several other new goodies throughout our booth.

We'll be open today from 10–5 and tomorrow from 11–4, so if you're out and about this weekend, come on by and see us! We'd sure love to visit with y'all. 💚🌻

We hope you all have a wonderful Fourth of July celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States! If you're here locally, please stay cool and safe. We're under a heat advisory today, so be sure to drink plenty of water while you're out enjoying the festivities.

We also wanted to take a moment to say thank you to each and every one of our amazing customers. Since moving here just over six years ago, you've welcomed our family with open arms, and we truly feel blessed to be part of this wonderful community. Being able to raise our family on our little homestead while sharing delicious homemade foods and handcrafted soaps with all of you is something we're incredibly grateful for.

Thank you for supporting our dream. We appreciate every single one of you more than words can say.
