Small-batch coffee syrups, made slowly and with intention—real vanilla bean, dark caramel notes, and the kind of flavors that turn an ordinary morning into something softer…something warmer.

These started as something I made for our own kitchen, then for a few others—and somehow they keep finding their way back onto the stove.

Available now in limited batches:

Vanilla Bean
Brown Sugar (the crowd favorite)
Caramel
Cinnamon Dolce
Lavender

Additional flavors made-to-order.

Perfect for coffee, lattes, cold foam, tea…or even brushed over fresh bread.

A small white flock has settled into one corner of the pens here at Raven & Root.

The Bantam White Leghorns carry the unmistakable character of the old Mediterranean breeds — bright feathers against the grass, upright and alert, always in motion. Small birds with a surprising amount of presence.

This pen holds a single rooster and four hens, moving through the day together with the restless energy Leghorns are known for.

Spring is delivering a little bit of chaos and a lot of tiny feet around here.

Watching them figure out the world is one of the best parts of keeping birds.

I’ve been brewing up small-batch drink syrups this week, and the stand is stocked with some really magical flavors — all made with real ingredients and simmered low + slow for deep flavor. Each jar is dressed up with a little cloth topper, so they’re perfect for gifting or pairing with a loaf of bread.

This morning’s sourdough loaf came out exactly how I hoped — a crackling crust and that deep, dark rustic finish I love.
Made with a slow-rise starter and baked in cast iron, it’s everything a cozy November morning feels like.

I’ll be putting artisan sourdough out at the stand — small batches, limited loaves, honor system as always.
