The Grassroots Couple is comprised of chef Josh Trusler and photographer Nina Montalto. After a trip to the stunning North Carolina Mountains, we were inspired to start this blog to share with the world what we're so passionate about, and continue to learn new things in the process. Josh and I are by no means mycologists, botanists, or experts on wild foods. Please always use caution when going in

to the forest and only rely on peer reviewed journals and guidebooks for references before consuming anything.
