Wendler Acres Cattle

Wendler Acres Cattle Fifth generation family-owned farm located in Central Wisconsin. Beef shares offered seasonally. Breeding stock also available to view/purchase.

Wendler Acres is a fifth generation farm operation located in Central Wisconsin founded in 1893. Originally a dairy farm turned beef farm, Clarence Wendler bought the first Polled Herefords in 1970 where he started with a herd of twelve. With his commercial cow herd growing, Clarence sold the farm to his son Chuck in 1990. He now operates the farm with his son Zach, where they raise registered Polled Herefords as well as a commercial cow herd.

Imagine the stories these walls could tell. Generations later, we are still raising cattle (and the next generation) on the same land.

One of fun things about this page is to see the distant relatives and old family friends reach out here to share how they're connected to our farm. They've shared stories and memories held within these walls that otherwise could have been lost in time. Those conversations have quickly become one of our favorite parts of this page.

Every story helps keeps this farm's history alive. Please feel free to keep sharing those with us. 🌾🌾

Fresh pasture day is always a favorite. It doesn’t take much convincing when there’s new grass waiting.

Side note… today is that cattle caller’s birthday. Happy 4th birthday to our little man! 🎉🤍

That's a wrap! We have a cancellation list if anyone wants to be on standby but unless that happens all shares are spoken for.

We can't say thank you enough to our customers. This is the earliest in the year we have reserved every single share. We are so incredibly grateful for that.

🥩🥩🥩 UPDATE! 🥩🥩🥩

We sold all the remaining shares BUT the demand hit us fast, so we decided to open up more shares. And that steer is already half spoken for. If anyone needs 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 beef shares, please reach out. Once these are reserved, we aren't opening anymore (for real this time 😅😆).

Too hot and humid to fire up the oven or stand over the grill? Let the crockpot do the work instead.

This pickle roast is a fan favorite in our house and leaves everyone asking for seconds. The pickle juice helps make the beef tender while adding just enough of tangy flavor. We love “setting and forgetting” and it’s perfect for these hot summer days.
