THE SIDING IS GOING UP, THE ROOF IS ON, THE STONE IS COMING TOGETHER, AND WE ARE STARTING TO LOOK LIKE WE ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT WE’RE DOING!!!

Meanwhile, Big Mike is probably somewhere pretending this is all going exactly according to his plan. 😂

For those of you keeping track at home, this is a FAMILY BUSINESS. Which means every improvement comes with approximately 47 conversations, 12 opinions, 3 people saying “we should’ve done it differently,” and Big Mike looking at the bill like he’s never seen a dollar before.

BUT HERE’S THE SERIOUS PART. ❤️

This store has been our family’s life for 43 years. Pat’s isn’t just a grocery store to us. It’s our family, our employees, and the community that has supported us for generations.

We’re investing in this building, improving the store, and moving this project forward because we believe in what Pat’s is today and what it can be for the next generation.

We’re not just talking about making changes. We’re actually DOING IT. One phase at a time, one improvement at a time, and apparently one Big Mike blood pressure spike at a time. 🤣

We know it’s been a process, and we appreciate everyone who has been following along, asking questions, and cheering us on. We promise we’re just as excited as you are to see the finished product!

We’ve got a couple weeks left to get your fall fix in, and Nikki and Aaliyah are making sure you can get your hands on two of the most important things this season has to offer: pastries and flowers. 🥐💐

We have a favor to ask. And no, Big Mike isn’t asking you to help move lumber. 😂

For 43 years, Pat’s has been a family business. Four generations deep, Grandma Rose’s recipes still going, our meat room cutting fresh every day, our chefs cooking up a storm, and the rest of us trying to keep Big Mike from coming up with 47 new projects at once.

A lot of you have been showing us love here on Facebook, and we appreciate every bit of it. ❤️

But we have a small favor to ask.

🚨 THE MEATBALL OPERATION IS UNDERWAY. 🚨

Bill and Chef Carlos are in the kitchen rolling meatballs today. Thousands of them. We sell a couple thousand a week, because apparently feeding people once wasn’t enough. 😂

Are the chefs thrilled about this? Absolutely not.
Is it job security? Absolutely.
Does Dom in the meat room know when to stop grinding beef? Also absolutely not. He’s currently grinding MORE beef without their knowledge. 🤣

This is all Grandma Rose’s recipe, by the way. ❤️

And before anyone assumes Grandma Rose only knew how to bake… NOPE. That woman excelled at just about everything food-related. The bakery is only one chapter of her legacy, and we’re still making her recipes all these years later.

We promise the guys really do love making these… even if their faces suggest we’re violating several labor laws. 😂❤️

Four generations deep, and Grandma Rose is still feeding everybody.

One of our windows has officially been broken during the facelift. 😭😂

And somehow, despite having approximately 47 people involved in this project, NOBODY KNOWS A DAMN THING.

We’ve questioned the crew.
We’ve questioned the delivery drivers.
We’ve questioned Big Mike.

Everyone is suddenly an innocent bystander. 😂

Big Mike is currently conducting an investigation, which means he’s walking around pointing at things and asking questions nobody wants to answer.

The good news? The facelift is coming along beautifully!

The bad news? We may need to hire a detective before we finish the siding.

If anyone sees a suspicious person walking around with a window-sized piece of glass, please contact us immediately. 🤣

Today’s victims? His granddaughter Rose and two Oakridge products that deserve a little attention. 😂

First up: Oakridge’s Orange Cream Milk 🍊🥛 — the FLAVOR OF THE MONTH!

Rose looks pretty happy with it. Gaga looks like he’s taking his job very seriously, which is concerning because this man’s qualifications include owning a grocery store and having strong opinions about everything. 😂

Then we’ve got the Oakridge Apple C***r 🍎 — made with real Connecticut apples from Bishop’s Orchards. No artificial nonsense, no added color. Just actual apples doing what apples were put on this earth to do.

🎃 Pumpkins, c***r, orange cream milk, and a granddaughter who’s probably already figured out Gaga is a much easier target than the rest of us.
