Who wants to see what came home in MOOVER yesterday 😁😁😁

Meet Y Knot Magpie the black and white heifer and Y Knot Mary Queen of Scotts the strawberry blonde/dun/silver, however you want to look at it. Both born the same day 3/8/2024.

Another fun fact is Mary is actually the granddaughter of Y Knot Eden, who we unintentionally acquired 2 years ago.

Good thing breeding season is upon us, they immediately introduced themselves to the bulls ! Eli was quite fond of them, but he will not be theirs. They will go with Malcolm or Sparky.

In case you didn’t know, Lazy H also has purebred pigs too. No they are not Hampshire pigs with the belted pattern to fit in haha. We have Durocs and Red Wattles. So not only do we have fresh grass fed grass finished beef, we have non gmo fed pork too 🐽 Here are two red wattle feeders and the two newest durocs, future breeding pair. Last pictures are Miss Piggy, momma red wattle and her last litter this spring.

As we are still kind of at a hiatus with calving here are a few pictures of the 4 calves at the new property along with Galla who should calve toward the end of the month, she looks good and ready soon.

Only one first calf heifer to go for the season and she is at home close by to watch, not showing much notable progress yet though. Barrett Homestead Lindsay.

Four Eli girls, including the first calf heifer Lindsay, he also has Maiden, Emma and Lizabeth could be anytime.

Two more Eli girls around the end of June, Norma and Eden.

Only one more Sparky girl, Galla.

Those girls will round out the summer calving. Then 7 girls for fall between all three bulls.

🩵Bull🩵 Leah finally had her calf this morning after much anticipation ! A bull calf out of Sparky. A third dun plus red equals black 😵‍💫 Another first time calver checked off the list this year, she is looking to be an incredible mother like she’s done this before so that’s all that matters.
