Let’s talk about Y Knot Mary Queen of Scotts 51266-D ! A very interesting member of our herd, I would like to refer to her as Strawberry Dun. Although really no such thing yet, it brings up a fun discussion. All photos are unedited and taken at various days and level of sunlight.
Of course her name implies she was a calf bred and raised by the wonderful people at Y Knot in Bird City Kansas. I saw pictures of her when she was born and I thought, that calf is really cool ! Wondered if her color would stay, she is nearly 2 1/2 now. When I had the chance to purchase her I was excited. Her papers are in the photos. Unique due to the fact she is from a silver dun mother and a dark chocolate dun father with lots of red behind him and no red to speak of behind the mother. Another fun fact, we own her grandmother Y Knot Eden.
She is being bred to Sparky 50838-R, as pictured with her. Let’s see what happens genetically and their calf will be on the list of much anticipated for next year !
