Avennia is inspired by the Roman name for the city of Avignon, and signifies the heart of Old World winemaking. We use classic French varietals and blends to make modern wines that express Washington's vineyards and terroirs. From the soil straight to your table. 🍇

A quick look at how a vintage comes together, from early growth in the vineyard to the hands-on harvest work, and finally into the bottle. It’s our favorite cycle of the year.

From the tasting room steps to the vine rows, this is how you do a weekend trip. 🥂

We love seeing groups slow down, explore the vineyard, and spend the afternoon with us. Thanks for bringing the great energy!

Tastes better right where it’s grown. 🍷

There’s nothing quite like sipping a pour with a view of the very vines that produced it. The weather is perfect, the views are dialed in, and the wine is just right.

Come trade the busy week for a seat by the vineyard.

A little peek behind the cellar doors.

Great wine doesn’t happen by accident; it’s a mix of patience, art, and a bit of cellar science. From grape stomping and traditional oak barrels to concrete eggs and Chris’s lab trials, every step is about bringing out the very best in Washington fruit.

Loyalty to the glass. 🍇

Matcha had its moment, but we always find our way back to what we love most. If your weekend plans call for a fresh, crisp pour, we’ve got a seat saved for you.

Swirl, breathe it in, sip, repeat. 🍇

Unlocking a great wine starts before the wine even hits your palate. A quick swirl releases all those fruit, spice, and floral notes trapped in the glass, setting the stage for that first taste.

Our tasting rooms were built for slowing down and taking your time with moments like these.

It’s a huge shift in the vineyard; the vines start focusing all their energy on ripening the fruit, accumulating sugars and decreasing acids.

Ever curious about the story on our name?

Chris walks through the origin of our name and how it sets the foundation for our winemaking style, paying homage to traditional European techniques while letting Washington terroir take center stage.

Meet La Perle, our modern take on a classic RhĂ´ne white blend, made right here in Washington.

Named after the rare and precious gem, La Perle blends Roussanne and Marsanne from Gamache and WeatherEye vineyards. Winemaker Chris Peterson aged it for 15 months in concrete and French oak, creating a beautiful balance of white peach, honeysuckle, and pear tart with a rich, silky texture.

It’s drinking wonderfully right now for late summer meals, but has the structure to age in your cellar for years to come.
