It's a very exciting day here!! Our girl, Cash, has been broody and wanting to be a mama for 6months now. She would not leave the nesting box, would not break her patterns with all the tricks we were doing. She was born to be a mama. Now we don't have roosters here on the farm so we knew she would never be a mama... until I had the idea of asking our friend from The Bialas Barn if we could get our girl fertilized eggs... she gave us 4... 1 broke early on and made us all very sad for , Cash... and well today we discovered 3 little babies under Mama Cash!!! We are so proud of Cash... and excited for her babies Huey, Dewy and Louie... (but shhh let's hope they are all hens so we can keep all 3)

Thanks again Chelsea for your help!!! Hopefully Cash will now be a happy girl again!

tons of broken compacted drain tiles being repaired, farmstand getting a makeover for honey season, broody hens hoping to hatch a few chick's this week, garden has been taken over by weeds and blooms, garlic scapes galore, bees are loving the clover fields and I as much as I love the rain am a little bummed lots of my seeds especially in my grass keep washing away

but forward motion we go!

sometimes you just need a frustrated 45yr old mom, wife, farmer to get 💩 done ... one of those days the rainy hot humid morning got to me...came home from dinner and decided I needed 2hrs of alone time with my VEVOR Home Improvement dump cart, 20yrds of mulch and some Tyler Childers music and I finished a project no one else wanted to help with.

25 dumpcarts full 630pm-830pm bonus... I got to watch a beautiful sunset then smooch my sheep goodnight.

Sometimes the nitty gritty dirty not fun chores are the ones I will always finish on my own as a form of therapy.... this farm is my dream and I am the biggest dream follower ... just keep watching and following

No one said it was going to be easy... I guess that's why I love it so much
