Today was the day!!! Time to put the new headlock/chute to the test! The soon to be mommas and the bull needed their vaccines! As you can see Tara Iannacone and I rocked it!! Oakley had to figure out how to move his horns to make it through but with a little patience he made it through and was such a great boy! He even tolerated a little manscaping for his upcoming breeding season! ๐Ÿ˜ Big shout to Tara for always being willing to come help, no matter what the task! I know she loves my babies as much as me! ๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿฆ Meet Our Barn Swallow Family at The Noren Family Farm

Did you know some of our hardest-working farm helpers have feathers?

These beautiful Barn Swallows chose The Noren Family Farm as their nursery this spring, building their mud-and-straw nest high in our barn and raising a new generation of chicks.

Fun Barn Swallow Facts:

๐Ÿฆ Barn swallows return to the same nesting areas year after year.

๐Ÿฆ Both mom and dad help build the nest, incubate eggs, and feed the babies.

๐Ÿฆ A single swallow family can eat hundreds of flying insects every day, helping naturally reduce flies and mosquitoes around the farm.

๐Ÿฆ Baby swallows stay in the nest for about 3 weeks before taking their first flight.

๐Ÿฆ Their nests are built from hundreds of tiny mud pellets mixed with grass and strawโ€”an incredible feat of engineering for such a small bird!

In these photos, you can see the proud parents perched nearby keeping watch, while their nearly-grown babies wait patiently in the nest. Before long, theyโ€™ll be taking their first flights around the farm.

We love sharing our farm with all kinds of animalsโ€”whether they have hooves, wool, feathers, or fur. โค๏ธ
