We DON’T tend to keep amazing tools to ourselves! It’s the beginning of kidding season and the highs and lows of being a shepherd can get the best of us! There are 3️⃣ tools that we have on hand for every single kidding just in case. These 3 tools can be over used and should be seriously considered before you just jump in with them!
⚡️1. Kellie’s Kid Puller - there are a lot of pullers out there, I prefer this to all! I spent a lifetime (feels like) delivering baby pigs, about 450 litters a week…so, yeah I have some birthing experience! This puller allows for better movement and adjustment hands down! I love it and it’s an American small business you are supporting to boot!! Search the name on FB and will pull up info.
⚡️2. Kid Resuscitator - super handy to clear lungs and help one breathe! Easy to operate and beats doing mouth to mouth! Available through Valley Vet.
⚡️3. Canned oxygen! Super simple and readily available O2 to help get those tough ones a little extra support! Obviously you do not need to empty a can on one, but just give them a sq**rt or 2 to help them catch their air!

I know not everyone uses these tools and some may have differing opinions, but these work awesome for us and hope they can help your program. Even 1 $500 goat saved by any of these tools pays for them a couple times over!
✝️Happy kidding!

Congratulations to the Cain family on getting their first trip to the Texas State Fair Doe Grand Drive! Getting to line up at that level with a home grown is a huge accomplishment!
They certainly hit a home run with their Take The Reign kids!

Some things just happen without you realizing they are happening. My perception is that’s just how God works. The goat business is a roller coaster, it doesn’t matter how big or small your firm is, it’s a wild ride!
I had salivated over this guys donor for several years, but never thought I would get a shot at owning her because she was more than a goat to her family. She represented an incredible achievement for them and their kids loved her. But God opened the door and I RAN through it and hauled “Rona” home. For me there was only 1 buck that made sense for her, Platinum. When this beast hit the ground I was very pleased and knew he was special.
The Combined Forces guys have been my long time go tos to bounce good ones off of and K127 headed to Stillwater.
2026 has been a long, amazing, hard, fun year…
Gods timing, His plans and His doors, I just have to be brave enough to step through them!
⚡️Caden, Jett, Fletch - THANK YOU! You guys have put up with me for a lot of years, no words to describe how much I appreciate you!
⚡️The Hughes Family - CONGRATULATIONS on an incredible show and goat. You did him well!!
⚡️The Rogers Family- Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a steward of something that means so much to your family! I hope you feel this win as much as anyone! Love yall!
Thank you Dusty Kelso and family for putting up with me and these dang goats!
