FOUND this EMACIATED dog in a canyon. 💔 full story below ⬇️

We found this dog alone in the woods near Stout Canyon—dirty, severely underweight, and with no one around. We drove around Duck Creek Village asking local businesses and checking for missing dog posts, but so far, no one has come forward.

We gave him food and water right away and brought him somewhere safe. Since then, he’s been nothing but incredibly sweet—gentle, affectionate, and so well-behaved. He loves to cuddle, plays with toys, and even let me bathe him without any issues. He slept through the night, has been eating and drinking well, and is already starting to show his personality.

But the reality is… he is extremely emaciated, and the pictures don’t even fully capture how underweight he is.

We are currently:

* already checked for a microchip (nothing)
* Actively trying to locate an owner
* Scheduling a vet visit for a full evaluation (tomorrow)

At this point, we don’t know if he’s lost, abandoned, or how long he’s been out there—but he clearly needs medical care, proper nutrition, and time to recover safely.

💛 What the funds will go toward:

* Immediate veterinary care (exam, bloodwork, parasite check, etc.)
* Ongoing food and nutrition to safely help him gain weight
* Any medications or treatments he may need
* Supplies to keep him comfortable and cared for

Right now, the priority is getting him healthy and safe while continuing to SEARCH FOR HIS OWNER If no owner is found, we will make sure he is placed in a loving, responsible home.

I don’t think I’ve ever exhaled like I did here. 🥹🌅

This has easily been one of my favorite places we’ve ever stayed.

Views in every direction…
wild herds of cows and horses just casually passing through like it’s no big deal…
and yes—some of the horses actually let us pet them 🥹😍🐎

It felt unreal in the best way.

And the sunsets…
I truly don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like Wyoming sunsets.
They don’t even look real.
