Future herdsire available!
Dam: GCH Walsh Kids Black Velvet Band 1*M (pend) VEEE 90
Sire: Castle Rock Sun Dance

This handsome Velvet son is still available! He’s moonspotted and polled if that’s your thing! Super correct buckling with the udder genetics to back him up. Videos available upon request. Pictured are his maternal sisters that I absolutely love and have become foundation does in our little herd!

And with that our 2026 kidding season is over! Kay kidded with a beautiful single doe despite looking like she was carrying a whole army of kids. Sire is Sun Dance! I will probably keep her 🤷‍♀️
We ended with 32 kids total with only 1 DOA.
15 does to 17 bucks!

Right now all does have been sold/reserved. I will have 3 wethers available at some point and then Velvet’s spotty buck kid is still available!

Who all is coming?! I’ll be there with my whole herd 😅

First show of the season in the books! Prepping for the first show is always chaotic but we went in just wanting to see how the girls traveled and they were very chill. I didn’t manage their fill time well but hey, we had fun! Everyone placed respectfully and thanks to Alisha we actually have nice pictures!

6 year old 5F De Novo P Auriola didn’t fill super well but placed mid pack for the most part. This doe has the look I want my whole herd to look like!

3 year old 2F Walsh Kids P Black Mamba (Velvet daughter) looked lovely and was mid/upper class even placing 3rd. The judges loved her openness and angularity and one remarked that she’d be 2nd place udder. She is just such a petite doe standing inches shorter than her competitors!

2 year old 2F Walsh Kids MG The Punisher (Velvet daughter) was just along for the ride and looked good despite lacking udder capacity with a single kid this year.

2 year old 1F Walsh Kids Raggle Taggle Gypsy behaved herself! Last year she got “stuck” under a table at the Gridley show and panicked dragging a table, me, and binders of paperwork with her. Some of you may remember 😅 Ring one this year she eyed those tables like they were going to eat her but then chilled out and placed mid/upper class. I’m excited to see this Neptune daughter bloom with another freshening or two!

Our yearlings Alethia CTL After Midnight and Walsh Kids P Luck of the Irish got kind of lost in big yearling classes but they behaved decently so that’s a win!

Lastly our March Kid Walsh Kids MG Curtain Call placed 2nd in her class and acted like a pro in the ring!

If you aren’t a goat person be warned that you’re about to see goat rear ends 😅

Here are our three first freshening 2 year olds with a 12 hour fill! I’m pretty excited about them to say the least!

Walsh Kids MG Black Diamond - black pictured.
(GCH Walsh Kids Black Velvet Band 1*M (pend) VEEE 90 X Old Washoe TT Mario Gotze)
This doe is really blowing it out of the park this year! She may be my favorite first freshener to date honestly. Her texture is excellent as well!

Walsh Kids Raggle Taggle Gypsy - Gold
(Walsh Kids P Galway Girl X Walsh Kids VV Neptune)
So excited about this one! We bred Velvet’s maternal sister to Velvet’s sire to create a doe that was genetically very similar to Velvet. So far I’m loving what I’m seeing in Gypsy.

Walsh Kids TS Bellatrix - chocolate
(GCH Alethia DJ Starry Night 1*M (pend) VEEE 90 X Quaking Canopy Tequila Sunrise)
Bella is a really unassuming doe but I think she has a lot of potential. She needs more capacity but that will come. Star’s offspring are very slow to mature but tend to really bloom once they turn 4!
