It was my lucky day! I found $60 in a pair of shorts I hadn’t worn in many, many months, so I said, “Hell, I’m going to splurge!” 😂 lol
We went to The Spruce and decided to get two good steaks. At least, I thought I was getting a good steak. I ordered a ribeye and Heather got a filet. She said hers was decent.
My ribeye, though? It was okay, but definitely not great. It really didn’t have much flavor, and it was so grisly. I had to chew and chew on just about every bite. (SALT AND A1) I figured a high-end place like that would make an amazing steak, but I guess I was wrong—or maybe I just got a bad one.
The funny part is, the last time we went there, I got the pizza, and it was freaking amazing! So I guess the lesson I learned is: go to the high-end restaurant and order the pizza. 😂
The bill ended up being $130 after the appetizer, tip and everything. The crème brûlée, though, was incredible, so at least we had that!
The good thing was our waitress. She was a very nice young lady and did an exceptional job. She didn’t write anything down and still remembered everything. She was definitely friendly and knew exactly when to come over and check on us. She wasn’t one of those waitresses who comes over while you’re still chewing your food asking, “Everything okay?” 😂 She gave us our space but was always there when we needed her. I definitely appreciated that.
