There’s a lot of new people here so I thought I should reintroduce myself! I’m Jenn, the grower behind Solstice Blooms. I didn’t grow up with any connection to growing or farming, but I found cut flower growing after doing some landscaping at our townhouse and dreamed of having a big garden. When we moved to our property about a year ago I wasted no time getting started! Now I spend most of my free time in the garden, with the help of my husband Zack.
I love growing flowers for so many reasons. It connects me to nature, and I love learning about regenerative farming and seeing how implementing the practices has already made a difference on our land. I’m a creative person so making beautiful things out of something I grew has added a new layer to creativity. And last, I love the connection this brings me with my community. Meeting you for special orders or running into you at the stand and knowing where my flowers are going is so special. Knowing that they’re helping someone going through a breakup, or celebrating an 80th birthday, or being with someone on the biggest day of their life makes my heart so happy.
A few things you should know about me:
🍁Fall is my favorite flower season, and as a Scorpio I think I’m legally required to love the all the dark and moody blooms
🌷I will always gush over passing by someone’s beautiful garden (Zack and I constantly point out flowers by name when we’re in the car)
🌱And I’m constantly thinking about what we’ll be growing next
