It’s official y’all! The Beard & The Gal’s Bakehouse and Market is opening January 2027. Located at 8516 Homestead Drive Suite 111, Zeeland, MI 49464. We created custom memberships for our loyal customers. These memberships give our loyal customers an opportunity to help bring our dreams to fruition, while getting perks and discounts in return. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you, and we can’t thank you enough for believing in us and supporting us all of these years. We’re thrilled to open a place for you and our community to enjoy.

Want to become a founding member? Your $2,500 donation gets you:

1. Receive a Founders Membership card to receive 10% all purchases at our storefront for life.

2. Your name or business name will be on a plaque in our bakery for everyone to know that you were a huge part of making our business come to fruition.

3. VIP tickets for 2 guests to Founders Member private party. An event showing the finished product before anyone else.

4. Every quarter you will receive two free tickets to a private dining event of your choice. You get to choose which month per quarter that you would like to attend.

5. Additionally, as a founding member you get first dibs on purchasing tickets to any of our private dining events before ticket sales open to the public.

6. We’re capping our Founders Membership to 20 members only, so this will be an elite group of people, who are equally passionate about the future of The Beard and The Gal.

We’re so excited to open our new Bakehouse and Market! Every day we’re getting closer and closer. Spots are limited on our memberships. Once you purchase a membership you’re locked in for discounts until you cancel. It’s no secret that we adore our local farms! We’re so unbelievably blessed to not only be able to support them, but also play a part in protecting their land for future generations to come.

Every year Ottawa County throws Farms are the Tapas, an event and silent auction where local chefs come together for a playful competition using local ingredients to help raise awareness and money to protect our communities farm land.

Tonight marks 10 years of this incredible event and would’ve been our fifth year participating. Every year we take pride in sourcing as many local ingredients while supporting as many local farms and artisans as we can into one dish. Due to the gal’s health we had to make the difficult decision to back out. This hands down is our favorite event of the year, which makes this a very difficult decision.

We love you and adore all of the messages we’ve received this morning wishing us luck tonight in hopes of us taking home the Harvest Knife again this year. Not to mention the many messages willing to help in any way possible to get us there tonight, knowing how deeply we love it. Although winning is fun, we’re so proud to have been a small part in drawing awareness to a cause so near and dear to our hearts.

We will miss you, but hope tonight is a smashing success.

Well y’all, my MS strikes again. I was admitted into the hospital Wednesday morning with severe pain, muscle spasms, struggling to walk and severe weakness on my right side of my body, which is typically my stronger side. 😔

MS doesn’t care if you’re a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend or an entrepreneur. MS doesn’t care that you have big dreams, ideas, aspirations, plans or just about anything.

On a daily basis I deal with pain, fatigue, tremors, vertigo, depression, blurred vision, double vision, migraines, swallowing problems, slurred speech, cognitive difficulties, heat sensitivity, numbness, tingling, walking difficulties, emotional distress, breathing issues and spasticity.

However, this is the most severe my symptoms have been and the fastest decline I’ve had in 6 years. It’s no secret that we have had a lot of trauma and stress in our lives this past year between my own health, my moms brain surgery, unexpectedly losing our brother in May and now more recent family medical news.

This year has also brought so much joy in our lives and in our business, and we truly have so much to look forward to. MS reminds us that just like in life, we can’t control everything that happens. There will always be good and bad. It’s why it’s so important to find and hold onto the small joys in every day life. Celebrate the wins BIG, and trust that you’ll get through the hard.

We aren’t sure what’s going on this time around, and why it took me out so much worse this time, but I have a phenomenal team working hard to get answers and get me better. We’re treating severe pain, muscle spasms and migraines, while also putting me on heavy doses of iv steroids to help stop my body from attacking itself so I can gain my strength back. We’re not sure how long I’ll be in here, but I will continue to work with outpatient pt and ot to get stronger once I am.

We will not be at the Holland Farmers Market again tomorrow. We miss you terribly and can’t wait to see you soon. Thank you for your patience, kindness, love and support. We love you and will keep you posted. ❤️

It started and ended with rain, but the middle was pure MAGIC! This was year #4 The Found Cottage Mercantile and every year gets better and better! The amount of energy, creativity, attention to detail, sleepless nights, collecting, organizing, planning, tears, re-planning, love and soul that gets poured into this event by The Found Cottage ™ team and the vendors is unmatched.

The vendors are not only beyond talented at their craft, and equally passionate. A group of people who understand and care deeply for each other, and who truly get the grind that goes into running a small business. It truly feels like a huge hug every year!

And to the customers! You enter the gates with so much excitement, energy and love. You’re equally excited to find treasures as you are to support all of the small businesses. Getting to be with loyal customers from near and far, to feed you, hug you, catch up with you, laugh with you, cry with you, it’s so overwhelming it the best way possible.

Thank you to our incredible friends and family for not only helping us, but for the motivation, the texts, the encouragement and the caffeine. We appreciate you beyond words or money could ever express.

The Gal never stops coming up with ideas, and The Beard mostly likes all of them. 😅 It’s officially official y’all is coming to Zeeland Township, conveniently located off of Chicago drive. After 5 years of bringing everything to you we’re thrilled to create a place to welcome you to. It’s going to be a lot of work and happen in phases, but we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come. Thank you to our family, friends and dear customers for making this dream a reality.
