We don’t mind a bit when something sells out. 😊 Restocking Lemongrass Whipped Tallow today as it was popular at the market last night!
I probably say this about every balm, but lemongrass is one of my favorites for its bright scent.

We LOVE our farm pickup people!!

In fact farm pickup has increased from a few people a week to a few people a day.

We think a drive to the country to grab raw milk or cream, seeing the cows and goats and just enjoying a slower pace for a few minutes does a body good 😊

I do want to establish some “policies” I guess you could say. I do try to do this with anyone who messages, but we have had quite a few people just stop by lately without my prior knowledge.

Farm pickup is ALWAYS pre-order. Since pickup has PICKED UP 🤣 we would hate for you to stop by and we are out. We also do not keep chocolate or strawberry milk on hand and it’s strictly made to order. Cream as well is made up as needed.

We don’t want you frustrated because you drove here and didn’t get what you needed and us frustrated being put on the spot.

We also come and go so there are times no one is even available.

Just message me to pre-order and we’ll arrange a good time for both of us!

We SO appreciate all our raw milk friends SO very much ❤️

It’s butter day here 🧈

Other than milk, butter has become a best seller. And we know why.

Sweet. Salty. Creamy.

There’s something special about such a simple process that transform our girls cream into something so rich and nourishing.

Beautiful Monday evening.

I don’t often get a chance to just “be.”

Spent 6 hours on the road today. Jumped out of the truck from our Pace milk run to head to chores and caught sight of some chickens pecking around. Perfect time to just enjoy a summer evening, chickens snatching up bugs and grass, Maci mooing in the field for her evening bottle.

Life is busy buts it’s also beautiful. Sometimes I need to stop and remind myself of that.

Skies look dark, but we are headed to the The Market of Milton for the Thursday evening market!

We will be there ⛈️ or ☀️.

But it looks like weather will break up just in time for a gorgeous market night!

Come by and see us!

I emptied the water tank this morning to give the girls fresh water, but also to create a mud pit for the pigs knowing they would enjoy it in this heat.

Petunia knows what’s up.

It’s been a scorcher today. 🥵 The kids and I made several rounds to check on animals and treat them to a hose bath.

He was the first cow born on our farm.

We knew all along that he was our beef cow- hence his name Big Mac.

But there couldn’t have been a more loved beef cow than he was. He came running for head scratches and acted like the biggest puppy dog. We even had to quit allowing the little kids in the field because he just didn’t know his size and strength as he kicked up his heals and tossed his head in excitement.

I’ve always said sending him to the processor would be one of the hardest things I would have to do on the farm. And I was right. It’s impossible not to get attached.

I guess we could have given him that “beefy” name, put him in the field and forgot about him so we didn’t grow to love him like we did. But I just can’t do that.

He was loved (and he knew it ❤️).

There is something humbling about knowing where your food comes from and understanding the responsibility that comes with raising animals. It gives us such a deep appreciation for each meal and each animal. We gave the best to them, and they in return give the best to us.

Happy Monday!

A kidney stone threw a wrench in our weekend plans.

I apologize for being a bit slow in answering messages. I think I am caught up but if I missed you, just holler at me! 🤣

We were so disappointed to miss out on the Pace Market Saturday and hope to be back soon!

We are on track for a HOT 🥵 week ahead! The plan is keeping all animals hydrated and as cool as we can.
