Never thought I’d be part of a sea turtle rescue. The good luck doesn’t stop on the land.

A green sea turtle found in distress with a fishing spear through its neck Monday near the Frederiksted Pier on St. Croix has been released back to the water, thanks to the quick response of the Sea Turtle Assistance and Rescue team and a host of other individuals, groups and organizations.

It’s an honor to be apart of CHANT and after the team met Governor Albert Bryan Jr. We had a full day of work cutting the yard at Queen Louise Home for Children, cleaning up an Elders backyard in Whim, fixed a flat tire and set up the mobile petting zoo at the Vincent Mason Coral Resort for the reopening of the community pool.
