It is forecasted that world coffee prices will continue to increase
Expert analysis said that since the beginning of March 2025, coffee prices on the world market have remained high because investors have stepped up buying with the expectation that prices will continue to increase. In addition, coffee inventories at ICE floors decreased sharply, with Arabica inventories reaching their lowest level in 9 months.
At the same time, supply from Brazil and Vietnam also affects prices. Brazilian farmers have limited sales due to the devaluation of the Real, while in Vietnam, coffee is entering the final stages of the harvest, causing supply to slow down.
Recently, the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association (ABIC) predicted that world coffee prices will continue to increase in the near future because coffee farming in Brazil has been affected by adverse weather over the past 4 years.
Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer and exporter, accounting for nearly half of the world's output. Brazil's next harvest begins in July 2025. It is forecasted that this country's coffee output will be the lowest in the past 3 crops, only about 60 million bags (60 kg each), down 4.4% compared to the previous crop.
