Have you ever noticed how easy it is to move through conversations on autopilot?

Lately I've been thinking about how that can happen in prayer too.

As you listen to this imagine God holding you in an embrace with all the warmth, peace and gentleness.

If you are cold, see God standing in the cold with you. Shivering with you.

If you are in pain, see God being with you through the pain. Loving you. Supporting you in your pain, fear, agony, darkness.

I didn’t realize how fast I move out of anger.

Like… almost immediately.

And I always thought that was a good thing.

Now I’m not so sure.

Just noticing it for now.

I love the ease.
Confidence that comes and goes.
Sometimes feeling fearless…and sometimes not.

It’s a decision I wouldn’t change.
I’m living and learning with a new awareness.

I’ve been thinking about the “choice” part of this.

Service is always a choice.

But when I start to think of it as a chore, it begins to feel heavy.

I don’t think the answer is to grit my teeth and pretend I’m happy about it.

I think those moments are actually an invitation
to be honest with the Lord in prayer and ask what He wants me to know right there.

When I’ve done that, something changes.
Sometimes it’s my perspective.
Sometimes the task feels lighter.
And sometimes He even shows me a simpler way to serve, just as effective, but less complicated than what I had planned.

In a moment when I felt deeply alone
I started imagining the women I trust
the ones who see me,
love me,
hold me
right there with me.

Arms around me.
No fixing. Just presence.

And my body believed it.

You’re allowed to receive love…
even in your imagination.

Journaling is so powerful. Asking yourself questions and writing down the answers moves you from reacting to creating.

Be the creator of your life.

Take time to think through things, make decisions.

You are always free to change what is on your canvas.







I believe that we are cocreators with God. God has given us the canvas. We are free to put whatever we choose on it. Create. Play. Learn from your mistakes. Ask for help.

You are a work of art, always changing, always becoming.

Always a masterpiece.
