πŸ’™ Thankful Thursday πŸ’™

Today I'm feeling especially grateful.

A few months ago, I set a goal - to purchase a stronger mixer so I could expand my menu to include breads, rolls, quick breads, and cinnamon rolls.

Because of your orders, your comments, your shares, your encouragement, your generosity and your support, I DID IT!

My new mixer has arrived, and I'm so excited (and maybe just a little intimidated πŸ˜„). It's a completely different machine than what I'm used to, so there will definitely be a learning curve. But every loaf of bread starts somewhere!

This isn't just a new mixer. It's the next chapter for Taylor'd Treats and Sweets.

Thank you for believing in my little business. I truly couldn't have done it without all of you. πŸ’™

πŸ’™ What's Happening Wednesday - a special delivery πŸ’™

This past weekend, a sweet friend reached out and asked if I could make cookies for a memorial service.

The order was for 100 mini cookies: a mix of Salted Caramel Shortbread, Chocolate Chip, pink Frosted Sugar Cookies (her favorite color πŸ’—), and Frosted Sugar Cookies decorated with purple ribbons to honor her battle with pancreatic cancer.

When my friend reached out, she told me how grateful she was that I could take this off her to-do list. During times like these, there are so many details to manage, and I was happy to not only make the cookies but also deliver them directly to the memorial gathering so it was one less thing for her to think about.

Baking isn't always about birthdays and celebrations. Sometimes it's about helping families and friends gather, remember, and honor someone they love.

It means so much to me to be trusted with something that becomes part of such an important day. It's a privilege I never take for granted, and I'm honored to have played a small part in celebrating a life that meant so much to so many. πŸ’™

πŸ’™ Birthday thoughts πŸ’™

This year has been full in every sense of the word: family, biking, baking, busy schedules, sports, growth, stress, laughter, learning, and a whole lot of cookies πŸͺ

I’m grateful for slow mornings, bike rides with Kyle, conversations around the kitchen table, my boys, supportive friends, and everyone who continues to support this little business of mine.

Last summer, Kyle and I set a huge goal for us: to complete a 100-mile bike ride in a single day. We trained hard all summer, pushed through the hard days, the heat, the sore legs, and the mental challenge of it all… and we did it πŸ’ͺπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ It’s one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of because we worked so hard for it together. This year, we already have more stretch goals lined up and I’m excited to see where they take us.

I don’t have life all figured out, but I’m learning to appreciate the small moments more and more. The coffee in the morning, the fresh bread smell, the texts from friends, the little moments that end up meaning the most.

Here’s to another year of trying new things, making memories, loving my people well, and hopefully baking a lot more bread πŸ‘€πŸž

Thank you for being part of my life and this journey. It means more than you know πŸ’™

Monday Motivation

"Everyone is carrying something you can't see. Choose patience, choose kindness, and choose to be a friend who makes the load a little lighter."

A smile, a text, a phone call, or simply checking in can make a bigger difference than you realize. As we start a new week, let's remember to give each other a little extra grace. You never know what someone may be facing behind the scenes.

Have a wonderful week, friends! πŸ’™

πŸ’™Little Business Update πŸ’™

First, THANK YOU.
A few months ago, I started doing pop-up sales with a goal in mind: to raise enough money to purchase a stronger mixer so I could expand my menu and add bread products.
I'm excited to share that I'm only $123 away from reaching that goal! πŸŽ‰

Every order, share, comment, and word of encouragement has helped get me this far, and I appreciate it more than you know.
The second piece of exciting news...

πŸŽ‰πŸž My Cottage Food License renewal has been approved! πŸžπŸŽ‰

That means I am now officially approved to make and sell bread products! Along with cookies, treats, and Buckeyes, I can now add breads, rolls, quick breads, cinnamon rolls, and more to my menu.

This little business continues to grow in ways I never imagined, and I'm so grateful for all of you who have supported me along the way.

Now I need your opinion...
πŸ€” Should I continue the pop-up sales through the summer?
β€’ Once a month?
β€’ More often?
β€’ Less often?
β€’ Special themes?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you again for helping me get this close to my mixer goal and for supporting my baking adventures. πŸ’™

And remember, special orders are always welcome! Whether you're celebrating something big or just making it through the week, I'd love to help make it a little sweeter.

Thank you for your supportβ€”it means so much to my small business! πŸ’™

πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ World Bicycle Day – June 3rd πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

If you know me, you know I bake, I have 3 boys… and I ride.

Kyle and I commute to work on our bikes and spend a lot of time riding around the cityβ€”bike routes, shared roads, and paths. Last year our goal was a 100-mile ride in one day… and we did it! πŸ’ͺ

This year, we’re going for something different; commuting every day for a full week πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

Since we spend so much time on the road, here are a few quick tips for driving safely around cyclists:

πŸš— Give space – At least 3 feet when passing.
πŸš— Be patient – Sometimes we take the lane for safety. There could be debris in the way, or the shoulder might be too narrow.
πŸš— Look twice – Especially when turning or opening your door. Bikes can be easy to miss.

We’re all just trying to get where we’re going safely πŸ’™
