We had a wonderful dinner at Spring by China Mama the other night! We sat in one of their cozy private rooms, which made it perfect for our group. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and service was excellent—our waitress and the manager checked on us often, and dishes came out promptly.
We ordered the roasted duck couple set, which came with hot & sour soup, duck soup with tofu, scrambled eggs with green chili, stir-fried shredded potatoes, and roasted duck wrappers. Since we had seven people, we added an extra order of sliced roast duck, too. The duck wraps were definitely the highlight, especially with the side dishes.
We also tried wontons in Szechuan pepper sauce, Dan Dan noodles, crispy beef, chef’s special crispy taro duck, stir-fried green beans, pot stickers, and egg yolk sesame balls. The crispy beef and green beans are our must-have favorites every time. The taro duck was super crispy—though I personally wished the taro had a bit more flavor. Everything else was better than average, and the egg yolk sesame balls were a surprising standout!
I heard China Mama has six restaurants in town, each with its own signature dishes. At Spring, it’s clearly the roasted duck wrap—they even brought in a chef from China just for this dish. After such a great meal, we’re excited to try the other locations too!
If you love Chinese food, Spring by China Mama is definitely worth a visit!
