Baked a whole wheat banana cake for my little one. He was so sad since yesterday because it was his first day at new school. As we just shifted to a new place, he left all his friends behind. But this is part and parcel of fauji life. Just to cheer him up, I baked this healthy version of banana cake for him. Hope he'll enjoy it😇

While searching "places to visit in Goa" in 2018, I accidentally found this place - The Mapusa Market. It's a traditional goan market with items ranging from antiques and Goan pottery, to handicrafts, textiles, clothing, spices, fruits, vegetables, meats, jewellery. 3 Goa trips in 5 years & we made sure to visit Mapusa at-least once before our trip getting over.
To me what attracted the most is the spices from this place. The varieties, colours, depicts our centuries-old culinary traditions. The scope of products available in this market is unbelievable.
Kasuri methi is the queen of all dishes. Without it no dish is complete. Just a pinch of it enhances the taste of dish to another level.

Crispy Baked Baby Potatoes - just 6 ingredients needed for this super delicious roasted baby potatoes. Ingredients Required: 🥔Baby Potatoes 🧂 Salt & Pepper Paprika 🫒 Olive oil 🧈 Melted Butter Recipe 👇👇👇 🌺 Wash baby potatoes and cut it into half. 🌺 Boil water. Add salt and baby potatoes to it. Boil for 10 minutes and drain. 🌺 To a bowl, add potatoes, salt, paprika, pepper, olive oil & melted butter. Give it a good toss. 🌺 Place the potatoes on the baking sheet with cut side down. 🌺 Bake at 230°C for 20 minutes. Kadhi Pakoda🌼 Step by step Recipe:- 1. In a mixer jar, add 2 cups of thick curd, 4 tbs of gram flour(besan), salt, turmeric and 1 glass of water. Churn everything. 2. Add the prepared curd mixture to a pan and stir continuously to make a mixture without lumps. When the mixture is boiled, keep it on low flame for at least 12-15 minutes. Pakodas 1. Put gram flour(besan) in a deep bowl. 2. Add finely chopped coriander, onions, green chillies and ginger to it. 3. Add salt, red chilli, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, kasoori methi and ajwain to it. 4. Add 2 tbs of curd and little water to the besan and mix everything to a smooth batter. The batter should be of medium consistency, not too thick nor too thin. 5. Grease the appam pan and add the batter to it. I have used appam pan to avoid deeply fried pakodas. You can also use a deep pan to fry the pakodas. 6. Add pakodas to the boiled kadhi. Kadhi Tadka 1. Heat Sarson oil in a pan. 2. Add curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, kasoori methi and chopped ginger, garlic & green chillies. Fry for 5-6 seconds. 3. Add dried red chillies and finely chopped onions to it. Fry till the colour changes to golden brown. 4. Add chopped spring onions and saute for 30 seconds. (Optional) 5. Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp degi mirch and 1 tsp coriander powder. Mix and add the tadka to boiled kadhi. 6. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy kadhi with steamed rice, jeera rice or lacha paranthas.
