My name is Melissa, most people who know me well call me Mel! I grew up in a small town named Paulsboro and moved outside Ocean City, NJ with mom and brother in my early teens. I met my husband while working at my favorite restaurant. I have two step kids (I always tell them, “I did not give you the gift of life, but you surely gave me the gift of you”) and a bulldog named Olive. I now reside in b
eautiful Worcester, Pa. As a child I used to play restaurant, and it turned into a great passion throughout my entire life. While working in the hospitality industry I also worked in an accounting firm where I obtained my degree in accounting. The lady I worked for loves to throw a good party, and boy does she ever! Helping her set parties up and being a guest are some of my best memories! One of my favorite advantages I had was working in a restaurant at the Jersey Shore. I had the privilege of working with many incredible chefs, but this one main chef simply believed in me, he trusted me enough to work with him in creating beautiful buffets and events at his restaurant. I learned so much by watching, I learned so much by listening, I learned so much by trying over and over, I learned I could do it too. The name Graze and Décor simply came from loving to eat a million appetizers with my family and friends (I order one too many when we go out). But really, there is nothing more fun than when you can pass food around the table with those you love and sample everything! Décor came from learning to decorate with my mom.
