The Pilsner is looking, smelling and taste pretty dam good. First impressions of yeast from are good. Might try a cold IPA next with this yeast, think it will lend it self well with that style.

Using lashings of Galaxy and Idaho7 and also Citra hops in my NEIPA. First time brewing this style. Of course i have to experiment a little and not stick to a tried and tested recipe. Used inspiration from David heaths recipe with a slight change to the grain bill and completely different hop additions and hop schedule.

The Novalager yeast got off to a bumpy start. Realised I had slightly under pitched my yeast. Would normally rehydrate the yeast but I made a last minute decision to just sprinkle it on top instead. Which from the yeast pitching tool suggested I needed an extra packet. Not expecting it to affect the final beer much but could explain the unusual wave pattern at the start of fermentation!?

Using the new Novalager in a Pilsner style today. Looking forward to the outcome. Expecting a sweeter, fruitier Pilsner...

Don’t know why I left it this long to get one of these. A great inexpensive bit of kit, that I would recommend to anyone bottling. Another thing to make bottling a little less painful.

gave us some stout for us to sample yesterday… a normal stout, honey comb stout and his traditional Christmas stout. All great beers but the one that stood out for me was his honey comb. Had a really nice flavour! 👌🏼
