Obsessed might be an understatement. 😅

If you go to One22West and don’t order the Southwest egg rolls… I just assume you enjoy making poor life choices. Crispy, packed with flavor, and just the right amount of kick—like, who gave them permission to be this good??

I went for a full meal and somehow left emotionally attached to an appetizer. That feels like a red flag…but also I’m going back for more, so clearly I’ve accepted my fate. And I'm ok with it.

10/10 would let those egg rolls ruin my dinner plans again.

Aside from the occasional crispy soda, I am not a McDonald's girly. And since they went up on the soda prices, I go even less. Mr. Goose wanted to try the new while we were driving through town last night. Has anyone else tried it yet?

I will say that it was better than what I remember McDonald's being, but I still 100% would prefer a burger from one of our local spots. (I mean, have you tried the burgers at The Albatross Cafe ? Holy smokes are they huge and delicious!) And so many other great local options.

So overall, eh it was ok. Would I get it again? Only if it was 10pm, I was driving home after a long day and all the local spots were closed. 🤣

My conclusion... eat local. Don't buy crap. Spend less and get a thousand times better quality elsewhere! If you need recommendations, let me know!

Granny Fishes House is the kind of place that feels like your grandma might pop out of the kitchen and ask, “Didja eat yet?”

From the moment you walk in, it’s all country charm, cozy vibes, sweet tea, and hush puppies that should honestly come with a warning label. The fried mushrooms are a MUST (hello, horseradish dip), with the fried pickles coming in a very close second.

I'm not even a big fish person, but the fried catfish made me reconsider all my life choices. Crispy, flaky, hot, and perfect — paired with coleslaw, white beans, or fries that know exactly what they’re doing.

The staff is friendly, the decor is rustic grandma-core, and while it used to be cash only, they now accept card payments, so no excuses!

If you want real-deal, no-frills, soul-hugging country food — this is your spot.
And don’t skip the cobbler. Ever. 🐟🍑

Typically opened Thursday and Friday for dinner, ans Saturday for lunch and dinner, be sure to pop down to the holler for a visit soon!

Let’s be honest for a minute here, football is just not my game. I know, don't come for me. So I can count on one hand the number of superbowls I have watched.

But I was reminded by my sister today that many of us don't clear our Sunday for just a football game. We clear it for pizza, wings, dips, cookies, and a spread that deserves its own MVP trophy. 😏🍕🍗

Just when you think a BLT can’t excite you anymore… The "Sammich" Shack would like a word. 😏🍅

Their fried green tomato BLT is a whole personality. Instead of that basic tomato bite, you get crispy, savory, Southern-fried goodness stacked with smoky bacon, fresh lettuce, and toasted bread. It’s bold, crunchy, comforting, and just different enough to make you question every BLT you’ve ever loved before. I have never been a tomato lover, but this I can get behind!

And let’s talk about what stole the show for me today. I was craving indulgent and savory, and they delivered!

The CHEESESTEAK LOADED FRIES. Bam.
Crispy fries. Tender, juicy steak. A creamy cheese sauce that deserves its own fan club. Messy, indulgent, and absolutely not meant to be shared. One bite and you’re already planning your next visit. Salty. Savory. Stick to your bones good.
