Tunisia unexpectedly became my home.
I came to Seek a Great Perhaps was my marching song when I left my home country, the Philippines for this North African country.
I arrived in January and the naive and clueless asian in me thought “Africe=hot”. I was shivering and had to buy a winter parka as soon as I reached downtown Tunis Center, Avenue Habib Bourghiba.
This page will be a dedication to my 6 years in that lovely and wonderful country. My adventures to neighboring country Libya, Morocco, and Mauritania will also be chronicled here. The beautiful people who became family, and the food I met.
My first impression of Tunisia and North Africa is a scary place that lacked all the conveniences my home country offered. 6 years later, I left with a heavy heart leaving behind a country I’ve grown to love. It’s been 3 months since I left and I am feeling homesick already and dreaming of returning and staying there permanently in the future but until then, this is my homage pour La Tunisie 🇹🇳
