Hello all.
So. Something quite sad just happened with Wyatt and his birds, and now I have to share the hard stuff.
My 11 yr old had a dream. A passion. And he’s worked so hard to work towards that. Wyatt is who raises the English Orpingtons. He has earned money and does all of it on his own. He manages his finances, the birds, the coops, everything.
This yr was hard on him as he’s hardly made a sale, but he’s continued to persevere.
He’s had hens go broody (as Orpingtons do), and now cannot fulfill just 1 order. We take deposits, but we do not refund them as ppl are jerks and back out. We understand things happen occasionally, but we can’t just start refunding deposits that aren’t refundable, I’m sorry! Even if it’s not you being a jerk backing out.
Well. Unfortunately someone got upset with that. And we get it! But it’s hurtful to an 11 yo who wants to make everything right and who does this all out of his own pocket. Cody and I try to help him the best we can, but we can’t just start shelling money out either. And we can’t control the birds going broody 😣
If we’ve upset you this yr, I’m sorry! If we haven’t met your expectations, I’m sorry!
This isn’t a pity post, it’s just a “we’re working hard and trying” post.
