So cats out of the bag, although I am allergic to cats, but you know what I mean…
October has been somewhat of a horror show, so to speak, and I don’t mean Halloween necessarily, but i have recently learned things about myself, health wise, and thankfully I have someone who is the strongest person I know that would go to the end of the world to make sure I get taken care. This month, i developed a floater in my right eye that I thought came from something getting in my eye and I rubbed it, and it became an alarming issue, and I went to Danielle Miglio if she knew anything about what I was experiencing. She wears glasses and I didn’t. She called up Virginia Eye Institute and they said this was an emergency and I needed to be seen asap. I’ve been type 1 diabetic since my diagnosis in 2003, but it was thought that I could have been diabetic my whole life and my family didn’t know. I know. Genetics suck but it’s life. I go in and I get all these exams done and come to find out that I had stage 3 Diabetic Retinopathy and I’ve had Retinopathy since becoming diabetic. If you are newly diagnosed or do have diabetes, get your eyes checked regularly and I mean 3-4 times a year. So, on top of that, I had no idea I was also severely near sighted and that I was blinder than a bat. I was prescribed glasses while also getting laser eye surgery to slow down and hopefully reverse the retinopathy. It’s not fun, but I learned to just play the cards dealt and hopefully one day, things will get better. If anyone is wondering or sees me wearing glasses, permanently might I add, well now you know.
On a positive note, I just did a sample batch of sweet potato jerky for dogs that is all natural and healthy alternative for dogs, and it’s also healthy for humans too. If anyone is interested, contact Irish Mike's Craft Jerky or me via text or dm me on fb or instagram, and Id be happy to sell a bag to you for your dog or dogs.
