It was planned that when the golden syrup matures at the middle of this week, we would make gluten free mooncake and piggy biscuits.
Unfortunately I was feeling really ill from a visit by the celebrity virus, that this work can only be completed today. It is quite a delay considering that mooncake require at least 24-48hours of rest after baking, for it to 回油 and shine, but I guess that's the best we can achieve this year.
The blessing is we still get to do it together as a family, and the children really enjoyed the activity! Seeing the children being extra cooperative, thoughtful and helpful so that i can do less, is so rewarding. Regardless of how things are going, home is where the heart is!
Made a very small batch for our own consumption at home.
