Let's talk Intermittent Fasting:
Intermittent fasting has a lot of benefits and there's tons of ways to do it! Ultimately it keeps you from over eating, makes you more conscientious of WHAT you're eating, and it forces your body to use up all of the food you consume, thereby burning off your energy stores.
I like to follow the 16:8 fast. So I typically stop eating at 8pm and go to bed at 11. So by the time I go to bed, I have already started digesting my dinner and I dont feel heavy or overly full. And then I get up around 8am, drink black coffee with stevia (this does not break the fast) and by noon my stomach is growling and I'm super ready to eat.
Today I'm breaking my fast with whole wheat toast, black bean hummus, 3 egg whites, and fresh berries. This whole meal is 200 calories, full of fiber, lots of protein, and nutrient DENSE so it's very filling!
