From the hills of Honduras comes 18 Rabbit, a delicious honey-processed coffee. The coffee farms are female-owned and have been partners of Cafe Kreyol since 2014.

We just love the coffee community so much that we decided to be a multi-roaster! This way, we can showcase the incredible work being done in the industry both locally and nationally. We’re super excited to feature as our roaster for our pop-up tomorrow!

We especially love Cafe Kreyol because they create sustainable employment in Haiti, using specialty grade, organic coffee.
They believe farmers should get paid based on the quality of their product and practice this belief by paying around 300% higher wages than what Fair Trade requires. We truly admire their principles and hope you’ll check them out to learn more.

Have you met Michael Cross, yet? Co-Owner, Technician, and Barista... Crossy single-handedly renovated a 1950s horse trailer into our very own mobile coffee shop! For us, it’s not just about a tasty cup of coffee, although that simple joy sure is wonderful.. we believe that every decision and dollar spent determines the type of world we live in. That’s why we’ve decided to donate 10% of our profits from each pop-up event to an organization providing refugee aid. This time, we will be donating to International Rescue Committee as they provide relief to those experiencing the ongoing crisis in Tigray.

We hope to see you there!

1.6 billion people around the world depend on forests 🌲 for some of life’s most important necessities including food, clothing, and shelter.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) exists to protect these forests for future generations by setting standards on products made from forests.
FSC certified products, like World Centric’s paper hot cups, are made only from wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable. . .

well, these truly have been interesting times for all of us. we were gearing up to launch .espresso into a full time gig right around the time made its way to the states. In the midst of disappointment, fear, frustration, and anxiety we are so grateful to be anchored in an eternal hope. we want to encourage you to place your faith in the unseen, we are just a v***r in the scheme of things. this pandemic is giving us all an opportunity to dismantle our idols, embrace others, and find rest in the only God that will never fade nor falter. I’m stealing the remainder of this post from as it relates to this beautiful and community!

*Update: Thank you for reaching out to support us! We are financially provided for during this time thanks to D.j.’s job with . The following relates to individuals in the food and service industry whom we love and admire*

Remember the people beind the prodcuts that you love.

Most coffee shops or roasters are closing (or will close) their doors for retail in the coming weeks. Now, more than ever, is the time to and .

If you are fortunate enough to have disposable income, please consider supporting your favorite coffee companies by buying merchandise, retail coffee, or gift cards during this crazy time. Never brewed coffee at home? Consider purchasing a coffee setup (grinder, kettle, scale, and manual brewer) from a small company. Most roasters or coffee shops have this brewing equipment available on their web-shops. Now is the PERFECT time to dive into the ancient morning ritual of brewing coffee by hand!

Lastly, if you are a barista, service industry worker, or someone else out of a job right now due to the current pandemic situation, my thoughts and prayers are with you. If you are in NOVA, MD, or the Philly region, is hiring temps because we are busier than we’ve ever been. Please contact us for more info, if you need help setting up your home brewing station, or if you have any other needs that we could try to help you with (food, prayer, a conversation, etc.)

Our Story

Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop

It all began in 2016. Lissy was renting kitchen space from a new coffee shop for her small baking business and D.J. started a job as a barista at said coffee shop. D.J. began to develop his latte art skills in an attempt to impress Lissy, it worked. They took a road trip to Brooklyn and felt inspired by the craft coffee culture, and all that comes with it. This marked the beginning of their dreams of owning a coffee company together. In March 2018, they got married.

Frank Beginnings

In the Summer of 2019 they started making an effort to bring that dream to life. D.J. had now been working in the coffee industry for a few years and it was time to start something on his own. Frank Espresso was created to be a mobile coffee experience that offers handcrafted espresso based drinks using ethically sourced ingredients.
