It can only be Heineken. Bold. Unmatched. Unrivaled.

For 80 years, we’ve created iconic moments. This time, we changed the skyline.

The Heineken Hot Air Balloon rose above Lagos, unveiling the Heineken House Experience in a way the city has never seen before.

From ground to sky: culture, connection, and discovery.

Nigeria, we’re just getting started.

Safety First, Safety Always. This is not just a mantra for us at , it’s a responsibility we live by.
Road safety is not a campaign you switch on and off. It’s a commitment we carry every single day.

This week in Abuja, through the Beer Sectoral Group Nigeria (BSG), we renewed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Road Safety Commission not as a routine agreement, but as a collective commitment to strengthen action against drink-driving and promote responsible alcohol consumption across Nigeria.

This partnership reflects a shared effort to do what truly matters: change behaviour, shift mindsets, and build a culture where responsible drinking is the norm, not the exception.

The MoU was jointly signed by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed and Thibaut Boidin, Managing Director Nigerian Breweries and Chairman of the Beer Sectoral Group, in company of other CEOs - Nick Kade, and Girish Sharma, signaling strong collective responsibility and call to action.

Let’s choose responsibility.
Let’s keep our roads and our people safe.

Strengthening our long-standing relationship with the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS).

Members of our leadership team, led by our MD/CEO Thibaut Boidin, who also serves as Chairman of the Beer Sectoral Group Nigeria (BSG), alongside Maria Karaseva, Finance Director, and Uzo Odenigbo, Ph.D., Corporate Affairs Director paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Zaccheus Adedeji, to reaffirm our commitment to a transparent and digitally enabled tax system.

The engagement acknowledged the progress the NRS is making in advancing Nigeria’s tax digitalisation agenda, while also highlighting the significant risks associated with proposed tax stamps introduction. We noted that Nigeria’s existing homegrown digital systems already provide strong excise visibility and controls across production and distribution points, making an additional layer of tax stamps unnecessary.

As one of Nigeria’s leading tax-compliant corporates, Nigerian Breweries Plc remains committed to supporting policies that strengthen fiscal transparency, investor confidence, and Nigeria’s economic competitiveness.

Every year, Nigeria imports nearly 200,000 tonnes of malted barley, sending about $150 million out of the economy.

But what if that value stayed with Nigerian farmers and rural communities?

Through the Maltina Barley Project, we are working to build a local barley value chain, connecting farmers, researchers, government, and industry. This season alone, over 1,000 farmers cultivated barley, proving the crop can thrive in Nigerian soil.

Our ambition is clear: integrate 20,000 farmers by 2030, creating new livelihoods while strengthening Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.

To unlock this potential, ecosystem collaboration is critical - supporting farmers with irrigation, mechanisation, and pre-financing so they can truly thrive.

The opportunity is here. The question is: will you join us?

Congratulations to our MD/CEO, Thibaut Boidin, on his appointment as Chairman of the Beer Sectoral Group (BSG), a member of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, effective March 5, 2026.

The BSG represents Nigeria’s leading brewing companies and serves as a unified platform for industry engagement with government, regulators, and key stakeholders on policy, regulation, and sector-wide development.

In his role as Chairman, Thibaut is working closely with the Board of CEOs to provide strategic leadership for the Group, advancing priorities such as driving sustainable category growth, advocating for balanced and growth-oriented fiscal policies, and strengthening the long-term competitiveness of beer within Nigeria’s beverage market.

His forward-looking leadership and commitment to excellence will help to shape a stronger future for the brewing sector.
