This chick hatched 3 days early! 🫠 She is one of our olive eggers.

Woke up this morning and another olive egger hatched last night (I set up a video recording) as well as one of our other chicks this morning! 🤩

I see many more with cracks in them- this is a que to me that the Waverly swap is not so far away 😊

All chicks so far have those feathered legs as well! Can’t wait to see which ones get taken to new homes from the swap! 🥰🥹

18 chicks, hopefully, will be hatched in 8 days! Checking development again tomorrow before lockdown for them and I raise the heat. 3 blue eggs and 2 green eggs in there. 🪺

All chicks from this hatching will be going to the Waverly swap in June! So excited to see these fluff babies!! 😊🐣

Reminder these are mixed babies with some Easter eggers in there. I will set up a camera to watch which chicks come from the Easter eggers if I am not around to see them hatch myself in person 🫶🏼

Because of the recent storm, we got a few big tree branches that fell all around our yard.

Decided to add one to the coop for their entertainment 😊

I named them right when we got them so I tagged them with colored rubber bands to help me distinguish who was who 🥹 have you done this before?

Meet our one and only rooster, Maurice 😍

He’s a Light Brahma/Cochin mixed rooster! He’s the SWEETEST boy and loves his hens so much!

He’s protective of them, watches people when they interact with his hens, and breaks up any hen fights 😤

He loves to forage for food/treats for his girls and often scratches the ground to let his girls know he found something for them ❤️🥰
