As part of our commitment to the community and the environment, you'll find this recycling station right at the front of store. Soft plastic packaging, plus drop-off boxes for metal caps and lids, and plastic caps and lids! Give your waste a second life instead of going to landfill.

Today we welcomed Councillor Turner and Councillor Henderson, our local representatives from Auckland Council, through the store as we get ready to open our doors next Tuesday.

It was fantastic hosting them and hearing their genuine excitement about seeing our community thrive. Thank you both for taking the time to visit!

🧡 A wonderful visit on Thursday with the team at Te Atatū Peninsula Food Bank!

A special shout-out to Angela, who does an amazing job organising the food bank — thank you for the warm welcome and for everything you do! 🙌

We loved meeting the volunteers too and seeing firsthand the hard work they put in for people in our community who are doing it tough.

We're proud to share that New World Te Atatū will be partnering with them from opening day — with a donation box in-store so our community can give back easily while doing their everyday shopping. 🛒

🌱 Community Spotlight: Fair Food 🌱
Today we had the pleasure of sitting down with Tracey from Fair Food, an incredible West Auckland food rescue organisation doing amazing mahi in our community.

Fair Food takes surplus food from supermarkets like ours and turns it into meals for local families who need it most — working alongside our local food bank and so many other wonderful organisations across the region.

We're thrilled to share that New World Te Atatū will be partnering with Fair Food as our official food rescue organisation once we open our doors! 🎉

A huge thank you to Tracey and the whole Fair Food team for the work you do every single day. We can't wait to work together to help reduce food waste and support our community. 💚
