Mark your calendars! Our friends at Chapin Orchard will once again host their c***r crush on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24. This annual tradition has been around for approximately 30 years and is an event c***r makers look forward to year after year. If you're interested in picking up their special c***r blend, you can sign up ahead of time using this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc10zx_dCFnl6i9zyCqStlPywts9K3vCRFXQJcSitU_tvdKXg/viewform

The c***r costs $9.50 per gallon and the Mashers will be on hand Saturday the 24th to answer questions about c***r making and give away a variety of different c***r yeasts.

Best of Show judging for the 12th Annual Champlain Valley Fair Homebrew Contest took place earlier today and a list of all winning entries can be found here: https://masherscomp.com/cvf/

Congrats to Masher Jeff Simonds who will be busy claiming his Best of Show prizes which include: collaborating on a batch of b**r with Black Flannel Brewing & Distilling Company, making a 100 gallon batch of c***r with VT C***r Lab and collaborating on a batch of mead with Groennfell Meadery! Not bad for a competition that’s FREE to enter!

Thank you to all of the judges, stewards and other volunteers who made this event a success, and cheers to Masher Dwight Matthews for serving as competition coordinator!

The Mashers always look forward to attending the Vermont Brewers Festival and this year did not disappoint! Many of our club members were there and many delicious b**rs, and cocktails, were enjoyed!

The 12th Annual Champlain Valley Homebrew Contest is around the corner! Volunteers, judges and stewards can register now and entrants can enter their b**r, c***r and mead starting July 1st.

Big congratulations to Green Mountain Masher Kyle Ducharme winning MEAD MAKER OF THE YEAR with 4 medals at the American Homebrewers Association National Homebrew Competition!!!!

It’s a beautiful day for a brew, or two! A batch of Piwo Grodziskie and a batch of rye saison are in the kettles today. The saison will be split and half will ferment with French saison yeast while the other half ferments with 100% brettanomyces bruxellensis. Anyone else brewing something soon?
