Freshly caught New England seafood display we created!

Becoming friends with Local seafood captains here on Martha's Vineyard, I had them hand pick me some delicious seafood and beautifully colored seaweed for my display!

Nothing says summer in New England quite like a fresh and generous serving of the catch of the day. As temperatures rise, days become longer, and vacationers return to the beaches, it seems only natural to wrap up your day with a plate full of one of the many options available from these local waters.

Some of the best seafood in America can be found here in New England.
New England fare is simple by nature, and you don't really need much else on the menu to call it a day!

Fall is our absolute favorite season for many reasons but one big one is my love to visit local Farms and Fall farmers markets. For the last couple years we’ve been obsessed with the Honeynut squash.

The honeynut squash was developed by Cornell University Associate Professor Michael Mazourek and Dan Barber (a chef and co-owner of Blue Hill in Manhattan and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York).

It’s a winter squash cultivar bred from Butternut and Buttercup Squash.

Honeynuts have an intense natural sweetness that becomes rich, caramel-y, and almost malt-like when roasted at high heat, they don't have to be peeled because they have thin skin and they have have three times the amount of beta-carotene packed in.

They’re what butternut squash dream of being.

To us most Squash can taste dead inside and need flavor added to make them taste good, but Honeynut is immediately vibrant and flavorful. You could eat it like a steak if you wanted to! Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard
