We are a little late, but we hope you had a warm welcoming to this 2026, close to family and loved ones! ✨️

To be completely honest...

2025 was a rough year. It took so much from us. And it brought so many new fears and anxiety. We lost loved ones, including abuela (who you might seen when we shared her hallacas legacy) and we were seriously walking with heavy hearts.

As immigrants, we think you understand, specially lately, how difficult it has been. Even following all the instructions to the letter, we were rethinking everything, scared. And we swear to God, the only thing we want is the opportunity to work hard in this country.

And that's what we decided to do, despite everything. We will work harder and harder this 2026. Because, believe or not, one of the biggest highlights of the year was to hear from you at every Flea and event. To bring this piece of our country to you, without the politics or anything of the sort. If you tried and waited in line for our empanadas, our arepas, cachapas, if you placed an order for your gathering, if you took the time to come back and shared your thoughts, if you simply passed by and greeted us... you have no idea the impact you have made. You truly made these heavy hearts a little lighter ❤️

On behalf of our whole family... ¡Gracias! And see you soon! ✨️

Hallacas; We will use fragments from an older post on this page to describe it.

Venezuelan Hallaca is one of the most complex foods to prepare of the Latin-American gastronomy, not only for the technique where you must find a perfect balance between spicy, acid, salty and sweet but also for the psychological and even sociological emotions involving this delicious food.

Everyone in Venezuela has a history with hallacas, this is because hallacas reunites people around the table listening to gaitas, parrandas, aguinaldos, Salsa or Merengue Music.

Hallacas is what you smell in Venezuelan streets in December. It symbolizes family, friends, and in more recent times nostalgia for all who were forced to moved abroad looking for opportunities and freedom.

Hallaca is our traditional food for Holidays and is made from cornmeal dough filled with a guiso (stew) made of pork, hen, or chicken and combined with olives, capers, dry raisins, pickled veggies and papelon (brown sugarcane).

Hallacas is a bit of our culture, European, Indigenous and African American, ingredients and flavors

We will be serving Hallacas next saturday Nov 1st at Youngstown Flea from 9am until 3pm. See you there.

Due to some personal reasons, we won't be able to be at OCCHA tomorrow and Saturday 😞 We wanted to create more opportunities to bring our food to more places, but sometimes things just don't work the way we want, and that's okay ❤️

We are immensely grateful for your support and words of encouragement at every market. And we want to let you know that is something that keeps us going through hard times 💪

We might need some extra rest, but we will definitely see you at this Sunday! 🌟
