Hi! I don’t remember the last time I did an intro post, but figured I should tell you a bit about myself and my bakery!

👋 I’m Charlotte, 29 years old and I’ve been running Charlie’s Gluten Free Goodies for 1.5 years.

🧁 I’ve been baking for over 2 decades and I’ve been getting support and encouragement over the years from those closest to me to become a baker and sell my stuff! They still support me to this day and I love them very much.

📖 I have a Masters in Biomedical Science, but I always wanted to bake for others as I’ve always preferred to do things that bring others joy. I’m mostly independently taught, using a mix of recipe books and resources from other people online.

❤️ My partner is my number 1 advocate, makes a lot of stuff from scratch and is super vigilant in checking labels for food to make sure it’s safe for me! We have a few favourite brands, with Aunt Bessie’s being our favourite for roasties.

🪡 I have a lot of hobbies outside of work and most of them are still creative! I enjoy sewing, embroidery, drawing, reading and playing games. I even drew my logo on Procreate on my iPad almost 2 years ago.

🍪 My favourite product is my millionaires shortbread, just because I love to flex with my homemade caramel! It’s also my other half’s favourite thing to eat (he’s the designated taste tester). All of my products can be purchased through my website, or I have a selection of them available on my Etsy store!

We have some wonderful birthday cakes that I made this month! 🎂🎈

A beautiful homemade white chocolate and speculoos cheesecake for my darling sister and a galaxy victoria sponge for my amazing uncle! I had a lot of fun making these, especially the homemade speculoos spread...that I had to restrain myself so I didn’t eat it all 🫣
