The Jacob lambs are growing like weeds! It always amazes me how quickly they grow and develop. Most of them are 6-7 weeks old now. Let us know if you see any you’d like to add to your flock!

And just like that, lambing season is done. The last lamb is a cute lilac ram for Trinity C Delta and Minifenokee Oliver.
Totals for the year:
Jacobs: rams 18, ewes 19
Shetlands: rams 4, ewes 1
Valais Blacknose F1’s: one ram (disappointing AI results 😢)

Lambing is winding down here at Wiggle Hill Farm, and the last few lambs are trickling in. The last Shetland lamb arrived today, and there are only two Jacob ewes left to lamb. Enjoy the lamb spam!

I got a little behind on the new lamb photos, so here are the new Jacobs born this week and a handful of Shetland lambs mixed in. We sold most of our Shetland flock last year as our junior shepherd developed other interests, so we only have 1 more Shetland ewe left to lamb.

Two new babies today to first time mothers Avillion Flaaffy and Avillion Wooloo. Neither one wanted to leave the milk bar for a photo shoot. 😉

Two new babies today including our first Valais Blacknose F1 lamb for the year from Romney ewe Elsa and a gorgeous little Jacob ewe from Wiggle Hill Mariah and Wiggle Hill Oberon.

One new little ewe today from Wiggle Hill Katarina and Patchwork Atticus. Not sure one horns yet. We decided to name her Qeleigh, pronounced “Kay-lee”

Several new lambs born this weekend including a few lilacs. Mostly rams so far and all with 4 horns!

Today’s lamb is an adorable little ewe from first time parents Wiggle Hill Odelia and Patchwork Atticus. I think she might have four horns but it is hard to tell at this age. We decided to name her Queso. ❤️

The first lambie of 2023 is here! She’s several days earlier than we expected any, but she’s big and beautiful. We are on the letter “Q” this year for Jacob lamb names, so wish us luck with that! 😜. This little ewe is named Quizzical, her mom is Wiggle Hill Olivette and her dad is Wiggle Hill Oberon. Both are first time parents.

Obadiah's ladies are Avillion FCS Andromeda, Avillion FCS Flaaffy, Avillion FCS Verde, Morgan Farms Fairen, Patchwork Darby, Wiggle Hill Oprah, and Wiggle Hill Madilyn (Obadiah is also back up for Painted Rock Trixie and Wiggle Hill Kristi who were artificially inseminated for Valais Blacknose crosses)

So apparently geese love corn on the cob. Who knew!?!? Thanks to farm-friend Wanda for the lovely bags of corn! All the critters (but especially the geese Sebastian and Seraphina) say Thank You! ❤️

We’d like to introduce our newest critters at Wiggle Hill Farm, a pair of Sebastopol geese, named Sebastian and Seraphina. Apparently they like to talk when they are eating. 🤣 (Sound on!)

I don’t think Brad’s new lady friend is too impressed with his attempts at courting her. 😂😂 Anyone have any name ideas for her? (They are red golden pheasants)
