Sheffield’s Festival of the Outdoors is happening THIS MONTH!🌲🧗🏼
‘Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.’
Let’s take a quick look at some of the highlights…
🚣🏼♂️ Outdoor adventure activities - 1st-30th March - Get your thrill of adventure in canoe taster sessions, weaselling at Higger Tor, climbing experiences at Burbage North, and stand-up paddleboarding along Sheffield’s canals for a special rate (50% off) throughout March.
🍻 - 10th-16th March.
🏃🏻 Orienteering - 11th-26th March - In Bolehill and Crookes, introduce orienteering to newcomers and adult juniors in the 6th race of their Saturday series.
Or are you more interested in night orienteering across Loxley Common? Explore the woodlands and open common lands on a range of courses suited to your skill level in this mid-week challenge.
🌸 - 16th March - Explore local produce and greenery, food and drink traders, live music and activities along Victoria Quays.
🧗🏼♀️ International Festival (CWIF) - 22nd-23rd March - Some of the world’s top climbers will take on the world’s best bouldering problems in this year’s Climbing Works International Festival!
🏃🏽 Sheffield Half Marathon 2025 - 23rd March - Enjoy the scenic running route to and from the Peak District National Park and test your skills in the ‘triple-test’ challenge, or just grab a spot on the sidelines and soak in the atmosphere.
There are so many activities and events to get involved in, it truly does celebrate our beautiful outdoor city!
