Rutte's Dutch Waffles originates from the Netherlands and follows a long family tradition dating back to the beginning of the last century. The great-grandfather of founder, Okke Rutte, started delivering dairy goods on a wooden cart in 1912, eventually passing the family business to his son who upgraded the wooden cart with a steel caravan and added homemade stroopwafels to the menu. The Rutte's have been making, eating, and sharing stroowafeltjes since.
