Hello Tonoloway followers! Elliot and I are excited to begin the next chapter of stewardship of this amazing place. Because this is such a recent transition, we are working to get up to speed on business operations and unfortunately won't be open for the first weekend of Maple Festival. We are hoping to be ready to welcome visitors during the second weekend of the festival next Saturday. More updates to follow next week.

We’re delighted to share that Tonoloway Farm has found its next stewards, Sara and Elliot Tucker. We couldn’t be happier about their plans to continue making syrup and caring for this special place that means so much to us, and to the many friends and customers who visited over the years.

Looking back at these photos from the last 12 years, we’re filled with gratitude for the journey and for the incredible support that helped Tonoloway grow into what it is today. Our family has now fully turned toward our humanitarian work and family life in Switzerland, and Tonoloway will always hold a special place in our hearts.

From here on, you’ll be hearing from Sara and Elliot on this page. We look forward to the photos and stories still to come, and hope you’ll support them as warmly as you supported us, and perhaps visit during a future maple festival.

Big news and opportunity at Tonoloway!

After years of balancing farm life with humanitarian work, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to sell Tonoloway Farm. This will allow us to focus more fully on our work abroad and raising our two spirited daughters. As we prepare for this transition, we've paused online sales and stepped back from markets.

This decision wasn’t easy! Tonoloway has been a labor of love and a shared adventure with all of you. Together, we explored the unique flavors of our Appalachian forest: rich black walnut syrup, classic maple, and savory shiitakes and garlic. Thanks to you, Tonoloway is thriving as a business, leading in black walnut syrup production and research. As friends and customers, you made this journey meaningful and memorable.

This year's walnut syrup and blend is the best I've ever had. It just has all the right flavors and you might want to get some before I eat it all myself.
