White Buffalo Farm Earth-friendly and organic since 1974. White Buffalo Farm has been earth-friendly and organic since 1974. There is room for further expansion.

White Buffalo Farm is Colorado's oldest organic orchard and is a virtual paradise of fruit trees nestled in the foothills of the West Elk Wilderness. The farm is USDA certified organic and practices time-tested holistic farming methods. Some trees on our farm date from one of the first homestead's in the uppermost Upper North Fork Valley. The farm is surrounded by uninhabited public land and a few

residences. But mostly, we are alone at the end of the valley surrounded by sage and juniper hills at the end of an old historic road now no longer used to reach McClure Pass. The farm's beautiful setting is traversed by the North Fork of the Gunnison River and and is an ecological haven for wildlife. Prime water resources flow through White Buffalo Farm making the farm a very special asset in localization and food security on the Western Slope. In the last decade, the farm has expanded into vegetable production with three geo-thermal high tunnels and two, 2-acre fields. There are several historic structures and residences along the river and we plan to develop a series of new natural building home sites. Occupancy of farm premises implies having read and accepted the Farm Living Agreement and a Waiver of Liability, attached below.
